Actions are greater than any apology.
Apologies are all good and fine. You’re ‘sorry’ for making a mistake and doing wrong by me. Okay, now what? What am I going to do with an apology? I’ll accept it, but do you expect that to fix everything? Is it going to get rid of the actions you’ve already done, the mistakes you’ve made, the trust you’ve broken? It won’t. An apology is just a set of words that you expect to make it all better; too bad it doesn’t work like that.
How about instead of apologizing for messing up, you make up for it by acting and doing better by me? That will mean far more than any apology you could muster up. That will begin to mend any broken trust.
